Check it out, and then come discuss it with other smart people on December 4th at 5:30 during our second “Let’s Talk About It” session. There will be coffee and refreshments in the LRC on the 2nd floor in the Library. For more information, check out the Library’s website and click on “Muslim Journeys.” Hope to see you there!

Scott Pilgrim is here…

We try to get new graphic novels for the Graphic Novel collection. We recently bought volumes 1 through 6 of the Scott Pilgrim series. Not familiar with Scott Pilgrim? It’s a graphic novel about a boy in a band who meets a girl. The girl has several ex-boyfriends. If the boy wants to date the girl, he has to defeat the ex-boyfriends in combat. Hilarity ensues (as you might expect). This graphic novel series is New York Times best-selling and liked by Joss Whedon as  well. How can you resist? You can find it in our graphic novel collection. Check it out!

Let’s Talk About It

Tomorrow, Wednesday, the 13th of November, the Library will have its first Let’s Talk About It session. Part of a five-part reading and discussion series, we will meet at 5:30 to talk about the book In the Country of Men by Hisham Matar. This book is about a young boy, Suleiman, who wonders at the changes in his world as the new regime of Gaddafi takes hold in Libya.

We hope you can join us!
